An update from our teaching professional, Bill Neiswender:
On July 16, I was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. It turns out I had a twisted bowel and ended up losing one third of my colon. I was put on a medically induced coma for three days. I understand during this time my recovery was still in question. I was very fortunate to slowly recover and start my rehab. I was in the hospital for 16 days. My challenge now is finding the right formula of diet and medication so I can function normally. My current weight is 127, down from 165 when I was teaching. With the help of my surgeon, my gastroenterologist and my dietician, we’ll find a plan where I can gain weight and get back to teaching and playing golf.
I feel very fortunate just to be alive and thank everyone for all their prayers and support. I have no doubt I’ll be back!!!
Warmest Regards,
Bill
